Argan Oil

Argan oil, made from the kernels of Moroccan Argan trees, is highly prized in skincare for its multitude of benefits.

Argan oil's high levels of fatty acids and antioxidants make it a nourishing moisturizer that hydrates and softens skin, and improves complexion and skin tone.

Those same antioxidants also improve skin elasticity and protect against damaging free radicals, thereby reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and helping the skin repair itself after sun exposure.

Argan oil is also known for it's anti-inflammatory properties. It can aid in calming irritation and reducing redness found in acne, eczema and psoriasis.

Argan oil is non-comedogenic (it won't clog your pores) as well as a "dry" oil-- meaning that it soaks into your skin rapidly, without heaviness or greasiness.

Clove Essential Oil

Clove essential oil is made from the spicily fragrant buds of the clove plant. A highly potent essential oil, clove oil can cause burns if used in high concentrations. Added to skincare products according to safe formulation standards, however, it is not only safe and gentle, but a highly beneficial and healing component of high quality skin care.

Clove essential oil is best known for its anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, which make it extremely beneficial for acne-prone skin. It also stimulates circulation, which is essential for healthy skin.

Coriander Essential Oil

Similar in chemical composition to lavender oil, coriander oil is distilled from the seeds of the coriander (cilantro) plant.

It has a soothing, mildly nutty, herbaceous scent, and is used in aromatherapy to reduce anxiety and promote peace and inner calm.

Topically, coriander works to fight against acne, and soothe and heal skin.

Evening Primrose Oil

Frankincense Essential Oil

Geranium Essential Oil

Geranium essential oil has earned its role in the highest-quality skincare formulations with its multitude of skin benefits.

Geranium oil balances and brightens skin tone. It tightens and prevents sagging skin, has healing properties, helps to balance sebum production, and carries a range of anti-inflammatory, antibacterial and anti-fungal benefits as well.

A little of this ingredient goes a long way; so while you will notice the benefits this ingredient provides in your daily skincare regimen, you won’t notice the traditional geranium scent.

(Our founder Laura, who particularly and somewhat irrationally despises the scent of geraniums, carefully tailored the formula to ensure that the scent does not convey in the serum- followed by testing the scent profile with fellow geranium-hating women– and it has been approved!)

Helichrysum Essential Oil

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil has earned its place as a pillar of plant-based skin care.

Derived from jojoba seeds, jojoba oil is actually a wax. It is unique in that its chemical structure is nearly identical to human sebum, making jojoba oil uniquely effective at not only nourishing the skin, but actually balancing the skin’s own oil production.

Lemon Essential Oil

Along with the bright, energizing citrus scent we know and love comes a battery of potent skincare benefits. Lemon Essential Oil tones and tightens skin, helps to remove excess oil and balance oil production, and fights acne, bacteria and inflammation.

Patchouli Essential Oil

Rosemary Essential Oil

Tangerine Essential Oil

Tea Tree Essential Oil

Walnut Oil

One of the best-kept secrets of plant-based luxury skincare, walnut oil is a nutrient-packed powerhouse of anti-aging benefits.

Walnut oil is deeply nourishing, maintaining skin's elasticity and fighting wrinkles and fine lines.

It is rich in antioxidants, which neutralize free radicals, preserving skin's youthful appearance at the source.

Walnut Oil's fatty acid profile also makes it adept at healing skin, to help clear up leftover signs of acne you may have brought with you from other skincare regimens before starting with Ophir.
